Description

Tired of steamed broccoli? Chinese-style stir-fried broccoli is also good, but sometimes, I like it tangy and sweet. Tastiest broccoli I ever had.

Ingredients

1 lb
broccoli
5 clv
garlic (peeled and thinly sliced)
3 T
olive oil
1⁄2 c
white wine
1⁄2
zest of lemon

salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

(thinly sliced garlic)

  • peel broccoli stem and slice French cut style (picture below)
  • heat oil at medium high heat. When ready (begins to sizzle), sauté garlic until lightly browned.
  • toss in broccoli and pour over wine gradually while tossing the vegetables.
  • keep stirring for about 8 minutes or until broccoli are just tender and 75% of liquid has evaporated.
  • add salt and pepper to taste.
  • remove from heat and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  • serve immediately.
