Description
Away to the past when my mother or our eldest brother would cook green beans for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Only long ago we could not afford this kind of meat, we simply used leftover fish or freshly fried fish to go with this recipe. Sometimes I don’t mix this with any animal protein and as always – love the taste!
Ingredients
1⁄2 lb
green beans 2
leftover short ribs 1
garlic head (full of bulbs, riced or minced) 2 c
thinly sliced red onion 2 T
cooking oil 1⁄4 t
sesame oil (more if you want its aroma stronger)Instructions
Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. When hot but not smoking, sauté garlic until lightly browned. Add in onions and leftover short ribs. Continue sautéing until translucent, then add in green bean. Sprinkle with a little bit sesame oil (about 1/4tsp) and continue cooking until green beans are cooked but still crisp (brilliant green color.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over steamed rice.
Voila!
