Description
Our daughter had been asking for this treat, a popular American dessert or snack. Thankfully, we found the right ingredients here in the Philippines, and with one bite, brings us all the way back to the USA!
Ingredients
Instructions
Butter a 12-inch baking dish.
Place butter and marshmallows together in a thick, large sauce pan. Heat over low heat, and keep stirring until all are melted, smooth and mixed.
Turn off heat and add Rice Krispies, stirring as fast as you can before they get cooler and harder to mix. Make sure each piece of cereal is coated (eyeball it!).
Place the prepared Rice Krispies in the buttered baking dish and level with a silicon spatula. Use of silicon spatula is a big help, as the Rice Krispies will not stick to its surface. If none, you may use metal or wooden spatula as long as the surface is buttered to prevent the cereals from sticking.
Let cool completely before slicing, otherwise the cereals will still be sticky and slicing will be a mess.
These treats do not need to be refrigerated (it gets too hard to chew). Just cover in a tight container, and I recommend to consume within 3 days.
Enjoy!
