Description
Tired of steamed broccoli? Chinese-style stir-fried broccoli is also good, but sometimes, I like it tangy and sweet. Tastiest broccoli I ever had.
Ingredients
1 lb
broccoli 5 clv
garlic (peeled and thinly sliced) 3 T
olive oil 1⁄2 c
white wine 1⁄2
zest of lemonInstructions
(thinly sliced garlic)
- peel broccoli stem and slice French cut style (picture below)
- heat oil at medium high heat. When ready (begins to sizzle), sauté garlic until lightly browned.
- toss in broccoli and pour over wine gradually while tossing the vegetables.
- keep stirring for about 8 minutes or until broccoli are just tender and 75% of liquid has evaporated.
- add salt and pepper to taste.
- remove from heat and sprinkle with lemon zest.
- serve immediately.
